Lezathlon was founded by Morgan Faye in 2012 when all she wanted for her birthday was to watch lesbians do push-ups in the park. The original Lezlympics has grown into one of the world's biggest lesbian sporting competitions now known as LEZATHLON, held annually in Los Angeles and coming soon to a city near you!
Lezathlon is about adventure. About celebrating sports and creating a positive environment for our community with good vibes and good energy. It is about competition, teamwork, individuality, charity, and friendship. And of course, it’s a great party! In 2019, we will be bringing Lezathlon back to Los Angeles for summer camp! Additionally, we are excited to announce that this year, a portion of our proceeds will go to Brave Trails, an LGBTQ+ youth leadership camp!
A Message from Morgan Faye
Brave Trails is an LGBTQ+ youth leadership camp located in California and Maryland. Brave Trails is a safe place for kids ages 12 to 18 to explore their gender identity, offering everything from archery and hiking to workshops in makeup and drag. The LGBTQ leadership and activism training, however, is where the camp really shines, featuring seminars on topics like body positivity, gender identity, and how to identify queer-friendly colleges. Its Passion to Action program teaches campers how to form and tell their own personal stories, then take those experiences to influence and change their communities back home. This summer, Brave Trails is celebrating their 5th summer of programming and will be welcoming over 290+ campers to join them! Camp Brave Trails offers financial aid and assistance. To learn more about their programming visit, www.bravetrails.org!
